Privacy
Short version: for the tools on this site, your data stays in your browser.
What stays on your device
Every current Astra tool runs entirely in your browser. Text you paste, JSON you format, words you count — none of it is sent anywhere. There is no server-side copy, no queue and no storage bucket, so there is nothing for us to lose.
What we do not collect
- No account, email address or password. There is no signup.
- No file uploads for tools the browser can run itself.
- No tracking pixels, advertising identifiers or third-party analytics scripts at launch.
- No selling or sharing of personal data, because we do not hold any.
What is stored locally
Two small lists live in your browser's local storage so the site is more useful: the tools you used recently, and the tools you saved. They never leave your device and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings.
Analytics and ads
Astra currently runs no analytics script and shows no ads. When privacy-friendly aggregate analytics or an ad network is added, this page will name the provider, say what it records, and keep the tool usable if you block it.
Hosting
The site is served as static files by a hosting provider. Like any web server that provider may keep short-lived request logs (IP address, user agent, time) for security and operations. Those logs are not linked to the contents of any tool.
Questions
Ask anything at the contact page. If a tool ever needs to send data somewhere, it will say so before it does.
